Poems for laughter & tears

 A great many lessons I’ve learned up till now,

Some lessons of bad and some lessons of good,

And stories of what and of where, who, and how,

I share with you here, in the poems from childhood.

You’d think that my life would grow sober with years,

I’d take things more seriously, but that isn’t true.

So here you’ll find stories of laughter, not tears,

I’ve written my stories down, special for you.

When life closes in, and my thoughts surround me,

I search for the words to describe what I feel.

At times I am trapped, and at times I am free,

And here my more serious side I reveal.
